Welcome to my beautiful modern studio in warm sunny California. I love to paint with transparent watercolor paints.
The 2nd color layer (glaze) painted over the 1st color layer creates a third color. Like two tinted pieces of glass.
I photograph each painting and save it in my computer. I use Photoshop to match colors. I print all my prints it.
With my Epson Stylus Photo R2000 Printer, 100% cotton Art paper & pigment inks comes archival giclee prints.
Over many years I have enjoyed the company and privilege to teach adults and children how to paint with watercolor.

Hello! My purpose, the reason I paint, is to bring happiness to people through my artwork.

Happiness is a tricky thing! We know that Art, when it all comes together, can elicit sensations and deep emotions. In my art, I try to give the viewer the opportunity to experience a feeling of contentment; a feeling of “Oh, that’s right, I get it, I’m glad I looked”. I aspire to create imagery that can move a person from their rushed, complex, sometimes chaotic world to a place of happiness. In watercolor, I have beautiful tools to help me achieve this. By combining the Elements of Form, Value, Contrast and Color with Artistic Principles of Rhythm, Proportion and Balance, my intent is to bring the viewer to a happy place; a contentment. My happiest achievement comes from pulling these elements together and watching a viewer experience the ‘Oh, that’s right, I get it, I’m glad I looked.
